Professional disposition before hospital and seamless connection of all links are the key to successful rescue of patients, but many people are also curious, why can complete a series of professional disposition of patients in the ambulance? I’ve only ever seen an ambulance speeding down the road, so what does it look like inside?
Ambulances are the best means of transportation for the sick and wounded, fighting for precious time to save lives.
Here are some situations where an ambulance needs to be called:
An accident resulting in serious injury
Loss of consciousness
Sudden confusion or change of mental state
Will not stop the fit
Chest pain
dyspnea
Severe bleeding that can’t be stopped
It was a severe reaction (anaphylaxis).
Severe burns or scalds
The interior of the ambulance is equipped with independent and isolated first aid compartments, spacious medical compartments and complete medical emergency equipment. Equipped with oxygen, simple breathing apparatus, vehicle suction apparatus, blood pressure meter, electrocardiogram machine, stretcher, vehicle ventilator, ECG monitor, defibrillation instrument, first aid kit, and a variety of trauma fixed devices…… Like a mobile intensive care unit, ambulance staff have enough space to treat patients on the way to the hospital.
1. Ambulance Stretcher and Loading Platform
Stretchers are an essential part of an ambulance to effectively transfer the injured so that rescue workers can provide better care. Suitable for long distance, serious injuries. Only one paramedic can easily push the patient directly into the ambulance, and the stretcher can be quickly secured to the ambulance by means of the connecting device on the ambulance.
The loading platform carries the auxiliary function of loading and unloading of stretchers, helping to achieve a more uniform and stable loading and unloading mode, and reducing the possibility of secondary injury to patients caused by manual loading and unloading of stretchers.

2. Spine Stretcher and Immobilization
Used to transport people who may have spinal injuries to prevent secondary injuries during transportation. The test is paired with a head retainer to avoid lateral head rotation, minimize movement and reduce the risk of long-term injury. Most spine boards are designed to be fully X-ray transparent, so they do not interfere with examination when the patient is strapped to the board. They are light enough for a person to carry easily, and are usually buoyant and can also be used for water rescue.

3.Cervical Collar
In on-site first aid, if the injured person has a neck injury, in order to prevent secondary injuries to the patient when carrying the patient, it is necessary to wear a neck support to reduce the damage to the spine. Fast application ensures secure locking. Soft and comfortable, more suitable for daily cervical spine maintenance.

3. Scoop Stretcher
Unlike a stretcher, two plates can be inserted under the patient’s body, fastened and lifted. Compared with the traditional stretcher, it has obvious advantages in reducing the pain of patients, the occurrence of reinjury and the shortening of the handling time.

4. Stair Chair
The so-called stair chair, is specially suitable for high-rise building rescue, transfer of the sick and injured stretcher.
When the patient is located on a higher floor of the building, the chair can be used to turn and adjust the direction at will in the narrow corridor, which is very flexible and more suitable for transferring critical patients and heavy weight patients. It can be folded and carried easily. In the case that stairs and elevators are too narrow, the use of stairs stretchers can significantly shorten the time to transport patients, save time and effort to transport patients, and win the opportunity for the best rescue time.

5.Defibrillator
AED can effectively prevent sudden death in a person who has cardiac arrest. When the cardiac arrest, in the “golden 4 minutes”, if professionals can use AED to defibrillate the patient, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, so that the abnormal beating heart can return to normal rhythm, effectively prevent sudden death. Automated external defibrillators are designed to be easy to use, most are portable, and small enough to be stored in a vehicle.

6. Ventilator
Ambulance ventilators are 24/7 machines that can be deployed at the least notice and in the most serious emergency or crisis situations. First aid can be performed not only on patients with respiratory arrest and very weak patients, but also on patients with respiratory diseases with synchronous functional first aid. The application of SIMV mode can also complete the evacuation of the final ventilator and non-invasive breathing. It is a multi-functional ventilator that is suitable for the entire first aid process and can help with all situations.

7. Bag Valve Mask (BVM)
If you are having trouble breathing, the caregiver’s first priority is to get oxygen flowing steadily into your lungs. A BVM is a device that is attached to a mask that will be placed over your mouth to provide ventilation. When the condition is critical, this product can be used to press the balloon to directly supply air, so that the patient can get adequate oxygen supply and improve the hypoxia state of the tissue.
These masks come in different types and sizes, and ambulances must carry a variety of masks because they are only effective if they are worn well and form a tight seal around the patient’s nose and mouth. The PVC material is disposable, and the silicone material can be reused.

8. Suction Machine
If the patient is unable to breathe, he or she may suffer severe brain damage. The suction machine are the fastest option for clearing airway obstruction. Medical personnel rely on aspirators to suck out secretions, blood and vomit from the patient’s respiratory tract so that air can freely reach the patient’s lungs. The high suction performance of the electric suction pump and the simple operation of the equipment ensure that patients are treated effectively and quickly in emergency situations. Convenient and compact aspirators for use inside and outside the ambulance.

In addition to the above advanced instruments and equipment, the most important thing is that there are well-trained, responsive, skilled emergency medical personnel, who can master the use of various instruments and equipment, and give patients professional treatment for different conditions. So, the ambulance can be called a mobile miniature hospital!
